Izmi Sushi Bar

Great place. I’ve been a fan since before the remodel and even before they moved to this location. It’s only gotten better with time. I’m still making new discoveries on the menu. The sashimi salad I had today was absolutely divine. Highly recommend.

First time here. Service was not bad, and the food was good. The atmosphere is upscale and calm like an upscale location should be. They have remodeled, so the pictures are not correct. It is white inside now. Piano music playing.

I love Izmi. The location on Marcy St was recently updated and looks wonderful - much more open and comfortable. The food, as always, is terrific, and the service warm and friendly. I give the food, service and atmosphere all five stars, but rated four overall only because I wish they had a more extensive bar - maybe a good selection of Japanese Whiskeys and a few more wine options to compliment the Sake choices.

Izmi, is located just off the Plaza, so not jammed pack with people. Parking is available out front or at the east end of the block. We started with a bowl of miso soup(good). We split a spicy tuna salad. There's definitely enough for two. I highly recomend. The salad greens were fresh, and the spicy tuna was outstanding. Next we ordered a variety of rolls. All were very good and very fresh. We also ordered a spicy tuna hand roll (very good) Here where it gets exciting. The Yellowtail Kama, absolutely on point. The chef hit this one out of the park. This is a must order. You will not be disappointed! The only, and I mean, the reason I gave the food 4 stars, the rice. The rice was a bit under cooked, giving a bit of crunchy texture. It could've been an off day for the rice cooker lol. However, all in all we enjoyed Izmi.

I dropped in for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent food. Agadoshi tofu usually isn’t offered on many Japanese menus, Izmi’s was excellent, as was the hamachi collar delicacy prepared to perfection.

It surprises me some of the reviews. This place is so fun, so delicious, so cozy and with amazing service. Their tempura shrimp has no comparison. Their salmon wrap is a culinary masterpiece. Miles above Izinami!

lovely date night experience ! mika was so lovely and attentive. she was definitely one of the highlights of our evening. the food was very timely; the presentation was beautiful. if you go at night they have these darling little lamps. very intimate and relaxed environment !

Excellent experience here. 5 stars in every aspect. Intimate, approachable, comfortable environment. They also gave us a free premium roll for no additional charge. Happy to support this place.
